My friend Spencer just committed suicide tonight.
He shot himself, in his backyard. He was 16 years old.
And I look back the last 3 years I’ve known him, and I can’t believe it.
The sweet, funny kid who lived down the street from me, rode the bus with me in middle school. He’s the reason I started dating one of my past long term boyfriends. He introduced me to horror movies. We haven’t talked as much as we used to because we barely saw each other in high school- even in the afternoons, he started biking home with Cody and some other kid I don’t know instead of riding the bus with me. But our friendship always withstood it. And I will always remember him, for what he was, and will always be.
You will be missed, Spence. More than anything. God bless you.
